About Koʻolau Community Archives (Community Archives)

The Koʻolau Community Archives preserves records of enduring value created by organizations and businesses in or for the Koʻolau region defined as the traditional communities of Koʻolaupoko and Koʻolauloa including, but not limited to Maunalua, Waimānalo, Kailua, Kāneʻohe, Kahaluʻu, Waiahole, Waikane, Kaʻaʻawa, Punaluʻu, Hauʻula, Lāʻie, and Kahuku and papers and manuscripts of prominent individuals of the geographic region of Koʻolau. Rare and unique collections will be accessioned on a selective basis at the discretion of the archivist. Access to this collection is provided for teaching, research, and historical purposes.
