A good start is to use the common and scientific names of:

• Organisms that cause disease
  • e.g.  Bartonella henselae (a.k.a. Rochalimæa henselae before 1992)
• Animals (or types of animals) affected
  • e.g., Cats or Felines, Humans
• Disease(s) caused by the organism
  • e.g., Cat Scratch Disease or Felinosis
