About This Guide

This guide is designed for Windward Community College theatre students performing or researching Shakespeare's plays. It contains lists of resources, from print plays to recorded stage performances, as well as cultural and historical resources for further reading.

How To Use This Guide

Each tab features thematically listed resources:

  • Plays - Print and electronic copies of Shakespeare's plays. Print copies include editions from Arden, Yale, and Oxford.
  • Performances > Databases - Lists databases with Shakespeare content.
  • Performances > Performances by Play - Recorded Shakespeare performances (stage and screen) listed alphabetically.
  • Further Reading and Viewing - Topical pages related to Shakespeare including resources for actors, historical contexts, and literary analysis geared towards theatre students.
