Hawaiian Genealogy research is a very complex, multi-layered research process... but doable! You just need to know the kinds of genealogy information you need to find and the right places to locate them.
1. Talk with your family
Ask your parents, grandparents, aunties, and uncles.
2. Begin to map out your family tree
Go back as far as you can. Be sure to write down any "vital" information.
3. Print out genealogy worksheets
See the subject guides page.
4. Keep a notebook
Organization is key. Keep a research log of places you went, areas you searched, and names you looked for.
