AI Workshop

Beyond the Hype -- Part One: Training Data

The Building Blocks of AI

Ever wonder how chatbots and AI image generators actually process information?

In this fast-paced 30-minute workshop, we strip away some of the mystery. You'll move beyond the hype to understand the core engine of Generative AI. We'll define the Neural Networks that power these tools and break down the anatomy of AI knowledge:

  • Training Data Composition: What vast, unfiltered datasets are these models "fed" to learn patterns?
  • Weights & Parameters: How the AI calculates and stores the importance of that data.
  • Amplification: Why biases in the input data are magnified in the final output.

Whether you're a student, faculty member, or just curious, gain a clear understanding of the tools changing our world.
