Voting Dates

The Hawaii Office of Elections is the final authority on election policy, procedures, and deadlines in Hawaii. The information here is provided as general guidance, only.

2024 Voting Dates

Primary Election: Saturday, August 10

General Election: Tuesday, November 5

Ballots must be received by your County Elections Division by 7 pm on Election Day.

  • Mail:
    • Ballots must be received (not postmarked) by the deadline. 
  • Service Centers
    • Centers open before Election Day. Dates and hours vary by location.
  • Places of Deposit / Drop Boxes
    • Collection Dates and Hours vary by location

Vote By Mail

Vote early by mail.

Hawaii votes by mail and all registered voters are sent their ballot in the mail 18 days prior to each election.

Your ballot must be received by your County Elections Division by 7 P.M. on Election Day.
