On Getting the Right Information for the Task

You're busy. And you have to get ready for your History 151 Time Travel assignments. Before you research anything, take a few minutes to figure out what it is you'll need to know.

  • Read your assignment carefully.

Some Information on the Assignment

Students will be completing a three-part writing assignment related to one of the following historical structures:
  • A Sumerian ziggurat

  • An Egyptian tomb

  • The Harappan citadel

  • King Solomon’s temple

  • A Teotihuacan temple

  • The Athenian Acropolis

  • Baths of Caracalla

  • Qin Shi Huang Di’s tomb

Part I: Exploratory paper explaining why you chose the site, showing preliminary research into the site's history, the reason it was built, and the purpose it serves today. 

Part II: A letter to a classmate explaining observations you've made during a time-travel-enabled visit to the site in history. 

Part III: A travel blog post to inform readers of the site's history and importance and why its remains should be preserved and visited in the present.
